In a thrilling match against Italy, Harry Kane once again showed why he is one of the best strikers in the world by breaking Wayne Rooney’s record to become England’s all-time leading goalscorer. Kane’s crucial goal in the first half secured a 2-1 victory for England, who put on an impressive display of football.

Kane’s record-breaking goal came from the spot in the 44th minute of the match. The goal was Kane’s 54th for England, surpassing Rooney’s previous record of 53. With this goal, Kane’s tally now stands at 54 goals for his country, one more than Rooney’s 53.

The achievement was quickly recognized by Rooney, who took to Facebook to congratulate his former teammate. In his post, Rooney said, “Congratulations to Harry Kane on becoming England football team’s all-time leading goalscorer. I knew it wouldn’t take long but that was quick.
