Sharon Stone, famous for her role in the movie Basic Instinct, recently revealed in a podcast that the film caused her to lose custody of her son in 2004. Stone said the scene where she briefly exposes herself while crossing her legs caused harsh judgments from others in Hollywood.

During the custody hearing, the judge asked her four-year-old son if he knew that his mother made sex movies. The loss of custody was devastating for Stone and caused her severe heartache, leading to her seeking medical attention at the Mayo Clinic.

Stone now avoids roles that cast women in a sexualized light or with dark personalities.
