Wiz Khalifa has been arrested in Romania and charged with illegal drug possession. The rapper, whose real name is Cameron Thomaz, was headlining the “Beach, Please!” festival in Costinesti when local prosecutors alleged he smoked cannabis onstage.
Reports from Agence France Presse (AFP) indicate that the 36-year-old artist was found with cannabis in his possession in the early hours of Sunday, July 14. In Romania, cannabis is classified as a “risk drug,” and if convicted, Khalifa could face up to 10 years in prison.
The Romanian anti-organized crime prosecutors organization DIICOT confirmed in a statement to the French outlet that the “See You Again” rapper was seen smoking the drug during his performance.
