A 23-year-old man from Ħal Tarxien tragically lost his life after suffering a fatal head injury while carrying out work in his apartment in Ħal Tarxien.
The incident occurred yesterday around 5 p.m. on Triq il-Witja in Ħal Tarxien.
Emergency services, including a medical team and members of the Civil Protection Department, were quickly on the scene to assist the victim, who was then rushed to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.
Sadly, despite their efforts, the young man was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. Witnesses reported that he had been working alongside another family member at the time of the incident.
Magistrate Philip Galea Farrugia has been informed of the case and has launched an inquiry into the circumstances. The police are continuing their investigation to determine the exact details of what led to this tragic event.
