A 41-year-old Russian man is fighting for his life after falling approximately three storeys in Tal-Pietà last night.
According to a statement from the police, the accident occurred shortly after midnight on Triq Hookham Frere. Reports indicate that the man fell while carrying out maintenance work on the roof of his home.
Emergency Response
Members of the Civil Protection Department and a medical team were dispatched to the scene. The victim was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance for urgent medical treatment. He was later certified to have suffered serious injuries.
Ongoing Investigation
Magistrate Anthony Agius Bonnici has been informed about the case and has appointed an inquiry. Meanwhile, police investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
