On Friday, an unusual incident occurred near the Vjal Portomaso Marina, resulting in the untimely death of a 24-year-old Colombian national. The circumstances surrounding the incident have left many questioning what exactly happened, and an investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the tragedy.
According to reports, a worker in a nearby building noticed the young man climbing up a wall and then jumping down onto a patch of grass. Sometime later, a security official went to check the area and heard cries of pain, prompting him to call for assistance. The police were alerted and arrived at the scene at approximately 6:15 am.
The injured man, who resided in St. Paul’s Bay, was quickly attended to by a medical team and members of the Civil Protection Department. They then transferred him to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, but unfortunately, he passed away a while later.
