A 60-year-old man from Ħaż-Żebbuġ has tragically lost his life following a traffic accident in Siġġiewi on Friday evening.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:00 PM in Triq tal-Providenza, located near the Chapel of Our Lady of Divine Providence. Preliminary reports indicate that the victim was driving a concrete mixer truck when he lost control and collided with a utility pole.
Emergency Response
Emergency services, including police and a medical team, arrived shortly after the crash. Despite their efforts, the driver was certified dead at the scene. To ensure safety and allow for a thorough investigation, the road was closed to traffic for several hours.
