The Morning Team: Owen and Kate

Kickstarting the day at 7:00 AM, this duo combines international experience with a deep love for Malta.

  • Owen: A broadcaster with a 20-year career spanning several UK and Spanish (English language) radio stations. He joined Radio 105 in September 2025. Although originally from London, Owen has strong local ties as he is married to a Maltese woman and currently lives in Malta.

  • Kate Dixon: Known to listeners simply as Kate, she has a decade of experience in UK radio. Her connection to Malta dates back to her childhood, when she frequently visited the country while her father was working here. Listeners appreciate her “sympaty” and lovely character on air.

The Foundation: Manuel Chircop

Manuel Chircop is the founder and owner of Radio 105 and serves as the station’s main voice.

  • Experience: With over 30 years in the industry, he is a highly popular figure in the Maltese radio scene.

  • Speciality: Beyond his daily morning show, he is the curator of the popular 80s show Memorji 80, showcasing his extensive knowledge of music history.

Mid-Day and Evenings

  • David Dee: Hosting The Mid-Day Mixer, David is half-Maltese (born in the UK to a Maltese mother and British father). He spent significant time in Malta during the summers of his youth before moving to the island permanently in 2023.

  • JP: A popular figure in the “Eurovision camp,” JP hosts The Ultimate Eurovision Experience. His show is known for exclusive interviews with high-profile artists connected to the famous festival.

     

  • John Gatt: A passionate reggae advocate, John has been with the station since early 2022. His show Reggae Time has become a staple for fans of the genre in Malta.

  • Mariah: Our newest and youngest presenter, Mariah is a home-grown talent still in her teens. Hosting Maria on the Radio on Thursday nights, she is viewed as a rising star with a significant future in broadcasting.
