A quiet morning in Hamrun turned into a tragedy today when the police were called to Triq Willie Attard at approximately 9:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a 43-year-old woman who had fallen from the roof of her own residence.
According to preliminary investigations, the woman had been locked out of her home and was attempting to gain entry by jumping from one roof to another. Unfortunately, she lost her footing and fell from a height of three stories.
Medical professionals were quickly on the scene, and an ambulance transported the woman to the Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. Despite their best efforts, she was declared dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Police Magistrate Dr. Marseann Farrugia LL.D was informed of the case and has appointed an inquiry. Meanwhile, the police are continuing their investigations into the incident.
The tragedy has left the local community in shock, and many are expressing their condolences and sympathies for the woman’s family and friends.
