Two passionate Hamrun Spartans supporters had an unexpected celebration of their team’s championship win – in Portugal. Simon Borda and Keith Zahra, both athletes, were taking part in a half marathon in the country when they decided to mark the occasion.
Speaking to Radio105.mt, the pair explained that although they weren’t able to be in Malta for the official celebrations, they still wanted to show their support in Portugal. They brought along banners and a Spartans flag to help spread the team’s message overseas.
The duo’s dedication to their team has not gone unnoticed, with Hamrun supporters back home proud of their efforts. Congratulations to Simon and Keith on their achievements, and for bringing a slice of Maltese sports culture to Portugal.
