Earlier today, a worker at a warehouse in Triq L-Iskultur in Qormi suffered an electric shock, prompting a call for assistance. The incident occurred at approximately 11am, and the Police were quickly notified.
Upon arrival at the scene, a preliminary assessment revealed that a 40-year-old man from Luqa had been working when he received an electric shock. The shock caused him to fall from the ladder he was on, resulting in serious injuries.
Medical assistance was promptly dispatched, and an ambulance transported the victim to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. The individual’s injuries were certified as severe.
Following the incident, Police Magistrate Joe Mifsud was informed and initiated an inquiry. Meanwhile, both the Police and the Authority for Health and Safety at the Workplace are conducting investigations into the matter.
