Swedish pop legends ABBA have announced a very special re-issue of their debut album, Ring Ring, to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Originally released in 1973 when the band was known as Bjorn, Benny, Agnetha & Frida, the album was a somewhat muted start to the career of a band that would go on to define the sound, look and feel of pop music.

Despite its initial lukewarm reception, Ring Ring achieved massive success in the band’s native Sweden, where both the Swedish and English versions of the title track charted at Number 1 and 2 respectively at the same time. This success convinced Agnetha and Anna-Frid to pause their solo careers and join the band, and ABBA was born.

Now, to mark the 50th anniversary of this momentous occasion, ABBA is re-issuing Ring Ring with a special new Deluxe edition. All of the album’s tracks have been remastered at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London, ensuring that fans will be able to enjoy the music in stunning new quality.

For fans of ABBA and pop music in general, this is an exciting opportunity to revisit the band’s origins and experience the magic of Ring Ring all over again. The Deluxe edition is sure to be a must-have for collectors and fans alike, and a fitting tribute to the band’s incredible legacy.
