San Sebastjan Drama Group Presents ‘The Accusation’ for 25th Anniversary

The San Sebastjan Drama Group is celebrating its 25th anniversary in grand style with a new play titled ‘The Accusation’. The production is a collaboration between the group, the San Sebastjan Parish, and the Qormi Local Council. The play, written by JoAnne Debrincat and directed by Shaun Formosa, is a Passion Play that takes us back to the time of Jesus Christ.

While the setting of the play is historical, it presents fictional characters that are relatable to our society today. The play aims to give the audience a chance to see the experiences and situations that people face daily, through the eyes of the characters.

One of the characters in the play is Hagar, a housewife who lives a mundane life. Hagar’s existence was not known by many, but when she is accused of adultery, her life is suddenly thrust into the public eye.
