Birkirkara showed no signs of slowing down in the Premier League as they claimed a convincing 3-1 win against Gzira United on Saturday. The match was held at the National Stadium, and Birkirkara put in a dominant performance to secure three points and strengthen their grip on second place.

With this victory, Birkirkara consolidated their place in second place of the Premier League table and opened up a five-point gap over their closest rival. On the other hand, Gzira United suffered their fourth consecutive defeat.

In other matches on Saturday, Hibernians returned to winning ways with a 4-1 victory over Pieta Hotspurs. Sirens also secured a narrow 3-2 win against Marsaxlokk, while Floriana and Gudja played out a 1-1 draw.

The Premier continues on Monday with three more matches, Valletta vs Santa Lucia, Mosta vs Balzan, and the reigning champions Hamrun Spartans playing against Zebbug Rangers.
