The artist candidly expressed her sentiments about the lively dance-pop track during her New Year’s Eve performance in Miami on December 31st. A TikTok video capturing the moment went viral, showcasing Minaj initiating the performance of “Starships” only to abruptly cut it short. She signaled to the DJ to halt the track, making her disapproval evident.
“Hold on. Psych, psych, psych, psych! I don’t perform that song no more, y’all. I don’t like it, what y’all want me to do? Stupid song,” Minaj apologetically conveyed to the audience.
