Johnny Wactor, the American actor, has tragically died at the age of 37.
Reports indicate that Wactor was fatally shot by an individual involved in an attempted theft of his car’s catalytic converter, accompanied by two other suspects.
According to his mother, Scarlett, Wactor confronted the men, mistakenly believing they intended to tow his car.
The incident occurred in Los Angeles early Saturday morning, around 3am. Wactor was rushed to the hospital by ambulance but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The three assailants fled the scene and are currently at large.
Wactor was best known for his portrayal of Brando Corbin in the popular soap opera ‘General Hospital.’ His impressive career included roles in major TV shows like ‘Criminal Minds,’ ‘Station 19,’ ‘NCIS,’ ‘Westworld,’ ‘Siberia,’ and ‘Army Wives.’ He also appeared in films such as ‘USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage’ and ‘Supercell.’
In a statement on Sunday, Wactor’s agent, David Shaul, described him as an inspiration to all who knew him. He praised Wactor for his unwavering dedication to his craft, despite the challenges of his profession.
