Joe Brincat, a notable lawyer and former politician, has died at the age of 81.
From Marsa, Brincat served as Malta’s Justice, Lands, and Housing Minister from July 1979 to December 1981. He was also the Deputy Leader for Party Affairs of the Partit Laburista twice, first from 1976 to 1980 and again from 2003 to 2008.
In 1978, Brincat was Vice-President of the Assembly of the Council of Europe, representing Malta for many years.
Besides his political career, Brincat regularly shared his views on current issues in various newspapers.
