Demi Moore may have dazzled on the red carpet at the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday, January 5, but her heart was missing a special guest: her cherished micro-Chihuahua, Pilaf.
Speaking with E! Live from the Red Carpet at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards, the Ghost star opened up about how leaving Pilaf behind at the Los Angeles hotel where she got ready left her feeling incomplete.
“I sadly had to leave her up in the hotel,” Moore admitted. “We could have gotten her [a credential], but I felt like it might’ve been a little much for her.”
Moore, who looked radiant in a Swarovski crystal-covered Giorgio Armani Privé gown, described Pilaf as more than just a pet—she’s a true companion. Pilaf even accompanied Moore throughout the filming of her critically acclaimed role in The Substance, a body-horror film that earned Moore her first-ever Golden Globe award.
“But I feel naked without her, I do,” Moore confessed. “She was with me the entire time we shot [The Substance], and the most magical thing is, regardless of the prosthetics, no matter what I came back from the makeup trailer looking like, she always knew it was me. That tells me she knows who I really am, no matter what.”
At 62, Moore has embraced her unique lifestyle, even humorously attributing her single status to her deep love for her furry family. With nine dogs forming her “puppy pile” each night, she’s aware her “eccentric” nighttime routine might be off-putting to potential suitors.
Despite leaving Pilaf behind for the evening, Moore’s heartfelt words about her canine companion charmed fans worldwide, showcasing the star’s down-to-earth nature and deep bond with her beloved pets.
