Ministry of Sex” Row: Mass Brawl Erupts Inside Armenia’s Parliament

Admin

A mass brawl has erupted inside Armenia’s parliament, with rival MPs clashing violently over an unusual and highly controversial proposal to establish a “Ministry of Sex.”

Shocking footage from Thursday’s parliamentary session shows furious politicians throwing punches, hurling chairs, and kicking one another in the groin in what became the third physical altercation in the chamber in just a matter of days. In one particularly chaotic moment, a politician is seen emptying a glass of water directly over a colleague’s head.

The violent outburst was sparked by a bizarre pitch from the opposition, the pro-Russia Strong Armenia party. Ministers from the faction suggested creating a Ministry of Sex, arguing that the department was necessary to tackle declining sex drives in women. The opposition controversially claimed that a lack of sexual satisfaction was driving women into political activism, and stated their goal was to leave “no unsatisfied women.”

The ruling party, Civil Contract, immediately struck down the raunchy department plans. However, tempers completely boiled over when a ruling party MP demanded an apology for the proposal.

That command was met by an all-out fisticuffs frenzy. Rival MPs rushed the podium where Civil Contract MP Taron Chakhoyan was speaking, and a vicious melee ensued, forcing security to intervene as the parliamentary session descended into complete anarchy.
