Aidan’s victory was a decisive one, bridging the gap between professional expertise and public adoration. He earned 113 points from the jury and a staggering 170 points from the televote, proving that “Bella” is a certified fan favorite both at home and potentially across Europe.

A Look Back: Malta’s Eurovision History

Malta’s relationship with Eurovision began in 1971 with Joe Grech. After a hiatus between 1975 and 1991, the island nation returned with a bang and has since become a staple of the contest.

Malta has reached the Top 10 an impressive 12 times, with two legendary silver-medal finishes:

  • 2002: Ira Losco with “7th Wonder”

  • 2005: Chiara with “Angel”

Last year, Miriana Conte broke Malta’s three-year non-qualification streak with her hit “Serving,” finishing 17th in the Grand Final. Aidan now carries the hopes of the nation to improve on that score and perhaps bring the trophy to Valletta for the very first time.
