Ħamrun Spartans have formally requested that UEFA move their upcoming Conference League Play-Off match against Latvian side RFS from the National Stadium to the Centenary Stadium. The request comes ahead of Thursday’s 7 PM kick-off for the first-leg tie.
The club’s decision is a direct response to the deteriorating condition of the National Stadium’s pitch. Despite existing concerns, the surface worsened significantly after hosting four YoHealth Malta Premier League matches last weekend.
