A 51-year-old man was injured on Thursday morning following a structural failure at a residence in Ħaż-Żabbar. The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 AM in Sqaq San Vinċenz.
According to preliminary reports, the man had reportedly jumped onto the roof of an old, adjacent building belonging to a neighbor. For reasons still under investigation, the aging roof gave way under his weight, causing him to fall through the structure.
Emergency Response and Medical Care
Emergency services were alerted immediately, and a medical team arrived on-site to provide the victim with first aid. Following initial stabilization, he was transported via ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment.
As of now, the exact nature of his injuries and his current medical condition remain unknown. Authorities are expected to look into the structural integrity of the building to determine the cause of the collapse.
