A serious safety situation has developed in Xemxija today following the partial collapse of Triq is-Simar. Emergency services, including the Civil Protection Department (CPD) and the Police, arrived on the scene quickly to secure the area and assess the damage.
The collapse has raised immediate concerns for residents and motorists in the area. Authorities have cordoned off the affected stretch of road to prevent accidents, as the structural integrity of the remaining pavement is currently being evaluated.
