Hamrun Spartans showed their domination in the BOV Premier League with a massive lead of 20 points over their nearest rivals Gzira United. They continued to showcase their strength in the return of the league after the break due to the Maltese National team commitments with a convincing victory over Balzan, 4-0. The Spartans have been unstoppable this season, and their performance in the match against Balzan proved why they are the reigning champions.

On the other hand, Valletta put up a stunning display to earn the biggest win of the day with a 5-1 victory over Zebbug Rangers, Mosta also continued their push for a place in Europe with a hard-fought 2-1 win against Gzira United and Sirens secured a 1-0 victory over Gudja United.
