Sweden’s Loreen has secured her second win at the Eurovision Song Contest with her soaring pop anthem, “Tattoo”. The nail-biting vote saw her beat out competition from Finland’s Käärijä, making her only the second person to win Eurovision twice and the first woman to achieve this feat. As she collected the trophy, Loreen expressed her overwhelming gratitude and disbelief, stating that she “didn’t think this would happen” in her wildest dreams. Sweden’s victory means that the country will host next year’s competition on the 50th anniversary of Abba’s historic win with “Waterloo” in 1974. The top three acts of this year’s competition were Loreen with “Tattoo”, Käärijä with “Cha Cha Cha”, and Israel’s Noa Kirel with “Unicorn”.
