Raphael Varane has announced that he will be leaving Manchester United at the end of the season, as his contract with the club expires. His departure will mark the end of a three-season tenure at Old Trafford.

The esteemed defender joined Manchester United from Real Madrid in August 2021. He made a notable entrance, being introduced to the home fans at the Theatre of Dreams just before the opening weekend’s victory over Leeds United.

Throughout his 93 appearances for the club, Varane has consistently displayed his remarkable skill and extensive experience. The French defender played a crucial role in securing Manchester United’s first major trophy in six years by winning the 2023 Carabao Cup at Wembley Stadium. In the 2-0 win against Newcastle United, Varane, alongside Lisandro Martinez, showcased his veteran prowess, contributing significantly to the team’s success under Erik ten Hag.
