As a committed Democrat, I have proudly supported my party, organizing major fundraisers for Obama, Clinton, and Biden. Recently, I co-hosted the largest fundraiser ever for President Biden’s re-election. My dedication to the democratic process is strong.
I admire Joe Biden and consider him a friend. However, time is catching up with him. The Joe Biden I saw recently is not the same as in 2010 or even 2020. His age is becoming a concern.
Our party needs to face reality. Ignoring the signs won’t help us win in November. We risk losing the House and Senate as well. Privately, many Democratic leaders agree with this assessment.
It’s crucial to address this issue openly. We need new leadership to inspire and mobilize us. Strong Democrats like Wes Moore, Kamala Harris, Gretchen Whitmer, Gavin Newsom, Andy Beshear, and J.B. Pritzker should step forward.
Let’s focus on what will elevate our country and prepare for the Democratic convention with fresh candidates ready to lead.
