A fatal traffic accident occurred in Naxxar on Monday afternoon, resulting in the death of a man.
According to reports, the incident took place on Katakombi Street where the driver lost control of his vehicle. The car collided with a small wall in front of a house and overturned upon impact.
Emergency service sources revealed that the man was discovered underneath the overturned car. It is suspected that the vehicle struck a pavement, causing it to overturn and eject the driver before landing on him.
Despite the rapid response of an ambulance, paramedics, and the Civil Protection Department, the man was declared dead at the scene.
The police have launched an investigation into the accident.
