Miriana Conte has emerged as the winner of this year’s Malta Eurovision Song Contest with her captivating song, Kant. Garnering an impressive 182 points, Kant secured its spot as the audience favorite from the moment it was first heard.

The song’s unique appeal lies in its clever play on words. In Maltese, the title Kant translates to “singing,” but when interpreted in English, it can take on a provocative double meaning, referring to a woman’s genitals. This daring ambiguity sparked widespread discussion and undoubtedly contributed to the song’s success.

In second place was Kristy Spiteri with her heartfelt ballad Heaven Sent, earning 174 points. Meanwhile, the eccentric group Kantera claimed third place with their upbeat and quirky song Lalaratatakeke Lalaratakabum, which scored 137 points.

As the winner, Miriana Conte will proudly represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest, set to take place in Switzerland from May 13 to 17. With Kant, she is expected to bring a bold and memorable performance to the international stage.

The Maltese public and jury have once again shown their appreciation for artistic creativity, and all eyes are now on Switzerland to see how Kant will resonate with Eurovision fans across Europe and beyond.
