A 30-year-old man from Birżebbuġa is currently recovering from serious injuries following a harrowing Tarxien car accident early this morning. The incident, which occurred on the busy Tal-Barrani Road, resulted in the driver’s vehicle catching fire shortly after a severe collision.

The Incident on Tal-Barrani Road

The accident took place at approximately 12:30 AM. According to initial investigations by the Malta Police Force, the 30-year-old was driving a Toyota Auris along Triq Tal-Barrani in Tarxien when he lost control of the vehicle. The car subsequently crashed violently into a roadside tree.

As a direct consequence of the heavy impact, the vehicle was severely damaged and eventually burst into flames.

A Heroic Rescue

In a dramatic turn of events, a tragedy was narrowly avoided thanks to the quick thinking of individuals who happened to be passing by.

Bystanders who witnessed the crash immediately sprang into action, managing to pull the injured driver from the wreckage just moments before the Toyota Auris was engulfed in fire.
