The 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Genoa, Olly, has won the Festival di Sanremo 2025 with his song Balorda Nostalgia. Written and composed alongside Pierfrancesco Pasini and JVLI, who also handled the production, the track captured both the jury and public’s hearts. Olly secured victory with 31% of the televote, an achievement he could hardly believe:
“It feels unreal! Thank you to Maestro Pallotti, the orchestra, and all of you!” he said in his first reaction.

Lucio Corsi, the festival’s revelation, took second place with Volevo essere un duro, while Brunori Sas, making his Sanremo debut with L’albero delle noci, finished third. Fedez and Simone Cristicchi rounded out the top five.

Despite strong predictions, Giorgia and Achille Lauro placed sixth and seventh, sparking boos at the Ariston Theatre and protests on social media. Giorgia, however, won the TIM – La Forza delle Connessioni award and was visibly moved by the audience’s support.

Special Awards:

  • Mia Martini Critics’ Prize: Lucio Corsi
  • Giancarlo Bigazzi Award (Best Composition): Simone Cristicchi
  • Sergio Bardotti Award (Best Lyrics): Brunori Sas

From the start, Olly was a frontrunner, thanks to his song’s emotional depth, stage presence, and strong social media appeal. As he summed it up: “It’s crazy, but it happened!”

All Sanremo 2025 songs are now streaming on Radio 105 Cuore.
