A 68-year-old man is recovering in the hospital after a violent altercation with a neighbor in Żurrieq on Friday evening. The incident, which involved a sharp-pointed weapon, has sparked a magisterial inquiry.

The confrontation took place at approximately 5:00 PM within a residential block on Triq il-Wied. According to initial police reports, an argument broke out between the victim and his 27-year-old neighbor.
During the dispute, the older man allegedly sustained significant injuries. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene immediately, where a medical team provided first aid to both individuals before transporting them to Mater Dei Hospital.
