A tragic incident on Friday evening has left a local community in mourning after a 71-year-old man from Mosta lost his life in a fatal accident involving power tools.
Emergency Response in Attard
The incident occurred in a field situated on Triq San Ġakbu, Attard. At approximately 8:00 PM, the Malta Police Force received an urgent emergency call directing them to the scene.
Upon arriving at the agricultural site, first responders discovered the elderly man suffering from severe injuries. Initial reports indicate that the victim had sustained the fatal wounds while operating an angle grinder.
Pronounced Dead at the Scene
Emergency medical personnel were swiftly dispatched to the location and immediately administered first aid to the severely injured man. Despite their rapid response and best medical efforts, the injuries proved too severe. The 71-year-old was tragically pronounced dead at the scene a short while later.
