Police in Gozo have arrested three foreign men following an investigation into the illegal cultivation of cannabis plants exceeding legal limits. The operation took place yesterday morning in Marsalforn, leading to the seizure of illicit substances and related evidence.

The Police Operation

The arrests occurred after authorities conducted a targeted search of an apartment block located on Triq il-Wied, within the limits of Marsalforn, Żebbuġ.

According to police reports, officers discovered 11 cannabis plants being cultivated illegally. The plants were found both inside the apartment and on the roof of the residential block. In addition to the plants, police confiscated several sachets of processed cannabis, which investigators believe were prepared for distribution and drug trafficking.

The three men taken into custody are:

  • A 43-year-old German national.

  • A 37-year-old man from Ghana.

  • A 36-year-old man from Sudan.
